A question we've been getting a lot lately is where we buy the bone decorations we include with every order of our Cupcake Mix for Dogs. The secret is that we don't buy them. Each of those bones, and the pink bones included in our year-round pink and brown Cupcake Mix boxes, is made by hand from dog-safe yogurt. For the seasonal variety, we first make the bones and then after they are dry we go back and paint them with FDA-approved food color to achieve the festive candy-cane strip effect. When you figure that each kit contains 18 bones it starts to add up quickly! It is a lot of work and we'd be lying if we said there weren't days that the thought of making more bones didn't drive us near crazy. But we know that you have come to expect that level of detail from Petit Four Legs and, at the end of the day, we want to be able to provide you with something that is not only different, but something that is truly special.
